The Academic Support Program provides the following services:
Tutoring: All peer-based tutoring on campus is coordinated through the Learning Center. We have standing tutors in many academic disciplines.
Probation Monitoring: Currently all students on Academic Probation are required to spend two hours a week in the Learning Center. This time is to be used for studying independently or in groups. Instructors assist when requested.
Retention: Students can be referred to the Learning Center by professors who are concerned about performance in class. Students can use the Learning Center to form study groups, study hall, meet with a tutor, or receive strategies from an instructor.
FND 103: In this class, students discover learning skills such as time management, organization, and studying styles. Students are assigned to this one-credit class if they are put on academic probation.
